BME InnoLab is preparing the second round of its Proof of Concept (PoC) grant programme for BME researchers. Before the call opens, we want to know how many research groups plan to submit a project proposal — and what those proposals look like.

Round 1 was open to BME researchers and lecturers employed at BME; round 2's eligibility will be announced with the call.

Does pre-registering commit me to apply?

When does the detailed call open?

After 1 Oct 2026. It will be announced on this page. If you ticked the email-updates box you will also get it by email; otherwise InnoLab may write to the address you gave, as a reply to your pre-registration.

Can I register more than one project?

What counts as fundamental research?

Regulation (EU) No 651/2014, Article 2(84): experimental or theoretical work undertaken primarily to acquire new knowledge of the underlying foundations of phenomena and observable facts, without any direct commercial application or use in view.

5–50 M HUF per project, 6–12 months (24 in exceptional cases). Pre-registration closed 31 Dec 2025; decision 15 Feb 2026, results published 13 Feb 2026.
